Come stand in the forest. Close your eyes. Feel the embrace of serenity and calm. Hear the breath and rhythm of the living forest. The symphony of songbirds, the drumming of the pileated woodpecker. Inhale the fragrance as forest scents mingle and rise up to greet you.
Open your eyes and trace the trunks of Coastal Douglas-firs as they soar hundreds of feet into the sky. Take in the glow of the emerald green mosses, the profusion of plants, animals, fungi.
This is a forest that has been harvested for its trees, yet there is a harmony and peace that abounds.
